The effect of erythropoietin on synchronized rabbit hemopoietic tissue in culture.

چکیده
Synchronized erythroid cell cohorts is capable of inducing hemoglobin prowere cultured for up to 6 days with ducation by polysomes isolated from and without added erythropoietin. The undifferentiated blast cells is depresence of erythropoietin in the scribed. The same polysomes with medium was found indispensable for their isologous soluble cell componthe synchronized differentiation and ent were unable to produce this promaturation of those cell populations. tein. These results confirm earlier obThe appearance. during maturation in servations made on synchronized vitro, of a soluble cell component that rabbit cell populations in vivo.

In Vitro Effect of Erythropoietin on the Spleen of The Polycythemic Mouse
I N VIEW OF THE FUNCTION of hemopoietic stem cells maintaining a hematologically steady state, radiosensitivity of the stem cells has been regarded as responsible for postirradiation hemopoietic death. As a method for studying the effect of irradiation upon hematopoietic stem cells, the colonyforming cells first described by Till and McCulloch’ 3 and the erythropoietin responsive cells in polyc...
متن کاملPurified interleukin-3 and erythropoietin support the terminal differentiation of hemopoietic progenitors in serum-free culture.
We studied the effect of purified interleukin-3 (IL-3) and erythropoietin on colony formation by hemopoietic progenitors in serum-free cultures of spleen cells from 5-fluorouracil (5-FU)-treated mice. In the presence of IL-3 alone, most of the multilineage (three or more lineages) colonies did not contain erythroid cells. However, in the presence of IL-3 and erythropoietin, most of the multilin...
متن کاملA STUDY ON THE HEMOPOI ETIC ACTIVITY OF HUMAN PLACENTA IN VITRO, IN THE PRESENCE AND ABSENCE OF STIMULATORS AND INHIBITORS OF TRANSCRIPTION AND TRANSLATION
The hemopoietic activity of the human placenta was studied in vitrc under various conditions in order to assess the optimal conditions of protein synthesis and colony stimulating factor (CSF) production by this tissue. The hemopoietic activity of placental tissue was assayed by the semi -solid agar medium technique. In order to obtain maximum hemopoietic activity, various stimulators were ...
متن کاملEffect of Adenosine Agonists on the Proliferation and Differentiation of Chick Embryo Fibroblasts in Three Dimensional Reconstituted Tissue Constructs
Previous studies indicate that organ fibroblasts play an important role in wound healing, collagen production, remodeling processes and pathogenesis of progressive heart, lung, renal and hepatic fibrotic diseases. Several studies suggest a possible inhibitory role for adenosine in the regulation of fibroblast proliferation. The effect of adenosine A2 agonists on proliferation and differentiatio...
متن کاملIsolation and Characterization of the Progenitor Cells From the Blastema Tissue Formed at Experimentally-Created Rabbit Ear Hole
Objective(s): Throughout evolution, mammalians have increasingly lost their ability to regenerate structures however rabbits are exceptional since they develop a blastema in their ear wound for regeneration purposes. Blastema consists of a group of undifferentiated cells capable of dividing and differentiating into the ear tissue. The objective of the present study is to isolate, culture expa...
